I'm debating whether you also owe me an apology, as I also consider The Godfather the greatest mafia film. However, that's purely based on personal preference. Goodfellas is still my favourite Scorsese film, and from an objective critical perspective, they are apples and oranges. Both are singular and brilliant in their own way. So on balance, no apology needed (for me at least, I can't speak for Paul). Besides, you've far bigger sins to atone for (I'm coming to Michael Bay in another comment).
