I'm definitely black and white on the issue of AI in film, regardless of how this all plays out or whether the genie can be put back in the bottle and whatnot. I appreciate your desire to be realistic, but It is important to have people like me taking a hardline stance, so perhaps the ghastly tide of AI rubbish can be at least partially blocked (I have a particular loathing for AI generated images - I refuse to call such regurgitated vomit "art").
AI should have absolutely no part in the artistic process (and don't get me started on creative livelihoods being destroyed). If we must have it, let's have it in medicine or other places where it could be of genuine use to humanity. Not in art. Art should be a human only process and that is a hill I will die on. So no - I don't buy the just-another-tool argument.
