I'm glad I'm not your eight-year-old. That would have driven me nuts, interrupting the flow of the film like that (I'm sorry, but I can't do "pausing"). Personally, I'd have saved the commentary for beforehand or afterwards. :)
I don't disagree that Temple of Doom has some eye-brow raising material, but I still love it without apology. I actually think it's really well-directed, with some stunning sets and set pieces, and way better than either of the recent ones. I remember my father took me to see it on a double bill with Raiders of the Lost Ark, shortly after it was released. :)
