I'm Jewish by descent (via my maternal grandmother), which apparently entitles me to Israeli citizenship, should I ever want it (I'm from the UK). And yes, I am fully aware of Wagner's anti-Semitism, and how his music gave Hitler a teutonic hard-on. Despite all this, I love much of his work, and still listen and appreciate, even if - to quote another "problematic" character - as Woody Allen once said, "I can only listen to about twenty minutes before I get the urge to invade Poland".
