I'm not a fan of most Christmas pop songs (although I have a soft spot for Last Christmas by Wham and Stay Another Day by East 17) and love it when something entirely un-Christmas related wins the number one slot: Examples: Human League - Don't You Want Me (1981/2), Pet Shop Boys - Always on My Mind (my favourite cover version of all time, 1987/8), Girls Aloud - Sound of the Underground (2002/3).
