I'm sure melody must have deteriorated there too, but I'm not really in a position to comment on television as I seldom watch it. My focus is on film (watching and writing reviews/articles) and literature (reading and writing my novels/short stories). That doesn't leave a lot of time for TV! Still, my wife let's me know when something urgently requires my attention (Breaking Bad, for instance). :)
