I'm not sure quite what you're getting at. :) I'm simply trying to establish the real-time gimmick in High Noon is used to good effect, but the film has a lot more going for it than gimmicks. It wasn't an attempt to denigrate 24 by any means. Series 1 and 2 of 24 are masterpieces. 3 and 4 weren't quite as good, but then 5 was as amazing. After that I think the quality massively declined.
