In all fairness, I've not see the new series yet (I'm not sure when I'll get around to it as I prioritise cinema and literature over television) but I can't say I expect to agree with this statement. The ending of Time Bandits is what I most love about it, precisely because of how insanely dark it is. As a nine-year-old it made perfect sense in a dark fairy tale sort of way: Parents should listen to their children.
