Interesting. I daresay I've crossed the line on occasion in the past, but having the self-awareness to recognise it is a sign of immensely good character, to my mind. We're all flawed, and it is amazing how a simple heartfelt apology can take the wind out of someone's sails in an escalating situation, when one is in the wrong.
