Interesting article. I mostly fit the stereotype of cynical Generation X, but whilst activists and foolish, deluded, self-appointed revolutionaries frequently provoke eye-rolls, I must confess I did get involved in one particular cause, of sorts, as a teenager and during my University years: The battle against film censorship. I'm a little alarmed at some of the demands younger people (Generation Z, I suppose) are now making in favour of censorship, despite the fact that, in the UK at least, the BBFC - a body now largely reformed from it's monstrously hypocritical, class-prejudice based, unaccountable former self - respects the right of adults to make their own entertainment choices.

Anyway, that was a rather irrelevant tirade. I did enjoy your article. :)
