Interesting article. I think the 1968 version is pretty spot-on, to be honest. However, my eldest son has a personal vendetta against it because it beat 2001: A Space Odyssey to Best Picture. I see his point (and agree Kubrick should have won), but that doesn't take away from the quality of OIiver! in my not remotely humble opinion.
