Interesting article. My favourite characters from The Lord of the Rings are: (in no particular order) Gandalf, Bilbo, Pippin, Eowyn, Boromir, Faramir, Denothor, Galadriel, Treebeard, and Gollum. For me, they are the most interesting people in the story. But all the characters are terrific. :)
