Interesting. I probably fit a lot of Generation X stereotypes (though I will never call myself apathetic as I actively fought against film censorship in the UK in my youth).

However, my children (13 and 17) do not take a particularly generous view of their generation, to put it mildly. They loathe social media with a burning passion, and insist the best music comes from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. It isn't unheard of for me to be listening to, say, Ed Sheeran or Ariana Grande, and for them to be listening to David Bowie, Queen, Guns N Roses, Nirvana, etc elsewhere, complaining modern music is rubbish. Plus my youngest was distraught when he discovered he would be unable to see Michael Jackson in concert.
