Interesting how some words are considered more offensive in America than they are elsewhere. In the UK, it can be used aggressively too, but in places like Glasgow it is sometimes used in an affectionate, friendly way. Or else it is used in an erotic context, which also doesn't bother me at all. In France, the word "bitch" is considered far more offensive.
