Interesting observations, and all valid. However, I must say I didn't much care for The Killer. I think stylistically it looked too much like any other Netflix film, in stark contrast to the cinematic rigour of, for example, Se7en. On top of that, I found its cynical humour (admittedly amusing at times) a little empty and nihilistic. As my youngest son put it, a bit of an "edgelord" film.
