Interesting perspective, and a well written piece. I'm not sure I entirely agree. I think the film can be interpreted a variety of ways, and is certainly provocative. However, "probably the most destructive film ever made" strikes me as hyperbole. Off the top of my head, I'd say DW Griffith's The Birth of a Nation, or Leni Riefenstahl's Nazi documentaries, plus much of the propaganda films perpetuated by the Nazi regime (under Goebbels) were considerably more destructive.

Thank you for the article though. A very thought provoking perspective. :)
