Interesting take. I saw this film in the 80s, when I was growing up, and liked it a great deal. I also like the recent Cobra Kai TV series, which is miles better than it has any right to be. It manages to satirise both 80s machismo and present day "woke" culture - not in a sneering way, but with the interests of it's characters in both generations at heart. It's also funny, dramatic, and adds plenty of nuance to the more clear cut good/bad of the original film. That said, Kreese is still essentially the devil.
