It disappoints me too, because romantic comedy is extremely difficult to write well, not to mention extremely difficult to cast (there has to be chemistry). So when it is done well, they deserve special praise.

My wife refuses to call a film a romantic comedy unless it stars Cary Grant or Katharine Hepburn (or ideally both). :)
