It is anything but mediocre. Leaving aside the scariness, this is a film about the pain of being a parent with a hopelessly sick child, a film about loss of faith, grief, fear of teenage sexuality, the effect of parental separation, specifically fatherlessness, on children, and much more besides. And it's brilliantly scripted, acted, and directed.

So, in the words of Margaret Thatcher: No. No. No.
