It is hilarious how the US AOG crowd have been trying to turn it back into water ever since. Or they attempt to obfuscate by claiming it was alcohol free grape juice rather than wine (seriously, I've heard arguments like this from certain American Christians I've crossed paths with). Of course, this rather is at odds with what is recorded in the gospel of John, where tipsiness is alluded to in the reference to people usually bringing out the inferior wine after drinking the superior, and being no longer able to tell the difference. But of course, Jesus brings out the best wine last. :)
