It is so, so depressing how much of history seems to be repeating itself at present. It is often said those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it, but that isn't true. A more accurate statement is: If not enough people learn from history, those who learned from it are doomed to repeat it along with the schmucks who didn't.
