It is still great filmmaking - a rigorously cinematic political thriller with some great scenery-chewing performances, a stunning screenplay (seriously, it is one to study in terms of how to get across a Mount Everest of information with brevity), and a first-rate score by John Williams. Factually? Not so much. But I still think something is rotten in Denmark with the Kennedy assassination, even if Stone was barking up some of the wrong trees.
