By the way, as far as I'm concerned, your son did nothing wrong. My children (both the autistic one and the neurotypical one) have always stood up to bullies, and responded proportionally. They've hit back if someone starts fights, but never started one themselves, and never bullied anyone themselves. Sometimes this has got them in trouble with the school, but I've always rewarded them for taking a proportional stand. Life isn't fair, and crying to teachers isn't going to help you in the real world.

No one messes with either of them now, by the way.
