It was a slog of solemnity, and didn't have anything like the visceral grip or sense of outrage generated by the originals. And I just didn't buy Zegler's character, though I accept that she did her all to inject some life into proceedings. Oh, and the predetermined outcome sapped it of suspense (often a problem with prequels). It was competently put together, I'll grant you, but entirely superfluous to requirements.

Happy to disagree. As I always say, other opinions are available. :)
