It's been year since I saw Hercules (in the cinema, during the original run). I don't recall much about it except that it was funny and that the fight with the hydra was well done. Your article has encouraged me to dig it out for a rewatch. I don't have the DVD or Blu Ray, so I'm off to order it to add it to the (vast) Dillon Empire collection. :)
