I've had a look at the "Spicediver" edit but it doesn't solve the underlying problem: the screenplay. And the other issues I mention here. Ultimately, it amounts to rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic, to my mind. I take your point about the longer cut of Cleopatra though. :)
