I've never understood the term "literary" fiction. All fiction is literary!

…ief in“pure art” that has no confines or outside influences… which just isn’t reality at all. Sure, literary or upmarket fiction may seem to break out the rigidity of genre on the surface level, but even they have expectations and prescriptions for what they are.
Are Tropes Good or Bad for Authors?
