I've not watched this yet, and it isn't likely to be top of my TV to-see list any time soon (I haven't watched the Ahsoka TV series yet either). For me, Star Wars is all about the cinema in any case.
To the thrust of your argument: Again, obviously I've not seen it so I cannot comment. However, I do believe part of the problem is there seems to be an absurdly polarised narrative of either-you-love-this-or-you're-a-fascist from one side and dummy spitting reactionary nonsense from so-called fans on the other. Both perspectives are idiotic, to my mind.
Ultimately, I care about one thing: Is it a good story well told? It either is, or isn't, or it's a mixed bag. Cogently argued perspectives made without political vitriol are the only kind I'm interested in.
