James, the remark was not aimed at gay people at all. It was aimed at how I have sometimes been hypocritical in calling someone a sinner (for example, if I've ranted about someone gossiping) then done the same thing myself, and enjoying it. Or, to use another example, ranting about pornographers, and then looking at pornography, and enjoying that too. That's what I meant by hating the sinner and loving the sin (though I do appreciate some people would not consider gossip or pornography sinful).

I hope that makes sense. Apologies for any offence given, but I can assure you this was not aimed at gay people.
