Like you, I'm also at the point where my own children don't automatically come with me to children's films. But they still come with me to some of them. To be honest, I've never cared about going alone to children's films either. I've just as much right to see them as an adult, and I don't care what anyone thinks of me. "Security" can keep an eye on me as much as they like (if such paranoia were to actually occur), as long as I get to see the film.
