Master and Commander in particular is stunning. It is very realistic, historically accurate (right down to the age of the crew, most of whom would have been teenage boys), and shows just how difficult it really is to sink an enemy battleship with cannons.

I'm also a big fan of All the Presidents Men.

However... Despite their legion inaccuracies, I still enjoy Mel Gibson's films. Sorry/not sorry. ;)
