My burn-it-with-fire position on all things AI is well documented, and as I always say, sci-fi writers are prophets delivering a warning. Certain sections of humanity mistake these warnings for aspirations (ie tech companies). I swear these are going to wind up as the didn't-stop-to-think-if-you-should nitwits who (in this case) bring about an era of desperately unhappy and unfulfilled humans lost in a dystopia of AI "relationships". Thank God I met my wife back in Medieval times before all this utter bullshit. The swipey appy nonsense sounds ghastly enough, but this? Damn.
Great article by the way.
