My children and I are working through The X-Files at the moment (I've not rewatched the series since the original broadcast) and one thing struck me: Much of the UFO conspiracy stuff is oddly passe, as the US government have since admitted the existence of UFOs and declassified various videos, etc. Great series though, with great characters.
