My favourite Robert Altman film is probably Gosford Park, though MASH, The Player, and Short Cuts are amazing too. Nashville is also great, but my severe dislike of country and western music hampered my enjoyment, and I've only seen it once.

Dog Day Afternoon is a masterpiece. Arguably featuring Pacino's best performance (it's either that or The Godfather Part II). And Barry Lyndon is sublime. So yes, a very strong year.

But Jaws still clinches it for me. :)
