My ignorance of football is staggering, but I'm pretty sure this is a compliment.

…, but I am not in the same league as the great Simon Dillon in writing about movies and the cinema. If we can continue the football analogy for a minute, let’s just say while I am knocking about in the Non-League, Simon is the Pep Guardiola of the cinema heading up the Premier League!
