My thoughts on all this:
1) No one is obliged to see anything.
2) No one should be called names for not wanting to see something in which they have no interest.
3) No one should feel bad, or be made to feel bad, about not seeing something in which they have no interest, regardless of how politically correct it might be to see it.
There are LGBTQ films that I've found interesting in the past, some which have broader appeal than others, and a few of which are out and out masterpieces. As I'm a cineaste, I probably will give this a look, but not out of loyalty to any cause or wanting to show support. When it comes to films, my only cause is the art of cinema itself.
