My thoughts on all this:

In general, I'm all in favour of cheap cinema days, as it is a good boost to the industry, and gets people to go to cinemas who perhaps don't normally go. However, I avoid such days as they tend to bring out inconsiderate orcs who use phones in cinemas.

All that said: Here in the UK, we experienced nothing like this level of lunacy. It simply wouldn't be tolerated. And we don't have gun culture, so that helps.

There truly is a special place in the infernal realms for those who disrupt cinema screenings. It grinds my gears like nothing else, and I have absolutely zero tolerance for it. One of these days, I will write an article recounting instances of "cinema rage" I've experienced or witnessed over the years. In the meantime, I offer this piece as advice on how to avoid disruptive cinemagoers. :)
