Since I'm a separate art from artist extremist, I don't really care if Susan Sarandon shoots her mouth off about politics in real life (it never ceases to amaze me that anyone cares what actors and pop stars think about politics). I just care about her acting, and she is excellent in the films you mentioned.

Dead Man Walking. Wow. What a powerful film. Not seen it in a while. Will have to revisit.
