My views about Zack Snyder are well documented and I can't be bothered to reiterate all that venom here, so let's just simply say I prefer the Romero versions.

As for The Haunting, I like the TV series, but stretching something out doesn't necessarily make it better. I prefer the film. You should take a look, but please make sure you see the 1963 Robert Wise film, not the woeful 1999 remake.
