I discovered Harry Potter just after I got married (in 2000). I was twenty-five. My wife and I devoured the first four novels and eagerly awaited the arrival of each subsequent novel.
Actually, it was as though my wife and I had a second childhood around that time (1999 to about 2007), with the Harry Potter novels (and then the films, which admittedly weren't as good as the books), as well as The Lord of the Rings films (which were as good as the books), the Star Wars prequels (a disappointment overall, but fun to have Star Wars back), the golden era of Pixar (Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, etc), as well as the return of our beloved Doctor Who in 2005 (not seen on UK television screens since 1989), and a much more adult, highly superior incarnation of Battlestar Galactica (also on TV). I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point. :)
