Nope, I'm not going to be derailed from my current writing schedule, as this prompt would take a considerable investment of time and energy (fun though it would be - perhaps I will plan to write something along these lines a few months in the future).

For one thing, my love of personally selected annual favourite singles compiliations will necessitate a detailed breakdown of favourite bands (and indeed one hit wonders) from the 1970s to the present, across the vast array of the pop/rock spectrum. It's honestly simpler to say what I don't like (country and western, and Celine Dion).

Then there's my love of classical music to consider, which would likewise required a detailed breakdown of composers and compositions. And that's before we even get to film score composers.

I will say this much: We share a love of The Smiths, and whilst I don't worship at the temple of Springsteen the way you do, I do recognise he is responsible for some damn good music. :)
