Nor do I. My issue with The Little Mermaid remake has buggerall to do with the casting and everything to do with it (almost certainly) being a cynical cash grab, along with the rest of the tedious live-action Disney remakes of recent years, made simply because-we-can (with live action versions of Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King being high watermarks of tedious superfluousness).

All that said, I will retain an open mind until I see the film. Who knows? The new Little Mermaid might be superb.
