Not to mention it makes no sense whatsoever. What exactly do SPECTRE wish to rule? A cinder? Because that's what the world would be after nuclear war between the Soviets and America. That's before even getting into the insane practicalities of having to build a volcano base without being noticed (my eldest son did an absolutely hilarious assessment of the logistics involved).

And yet - it is still brilliant (especially John Barry's score and the title song).
