Not weird at all. It’s not what I’d call a “bad film” in any case. For what it is, it works well. But even if it were, a film buff isn’t known by how many great films they’ve seen, but by how many terrible films they’ve seen. In addition for me, I find it humbling and fascinating to study “failed” stories, as they are instructive and useful for avoiding similar traps in my own writing.
