Obviously I'd have liked the chance to see Batgirl myself and decide if it was as rubbish as insiders claim. But as for moral double standards and the like, I think the same is true of Hollywood now as it has been for decades: Money is the bottom line. They aren't releasing Batgirl because they think they can make more money by making it a tax write-off.

The same will apply with The Flash, Aquaman 2, and every other "problematic" film in their upcoming release schedule. If they think it is profitable, they will release it, regardless of any controversy. Hollywood does not give an airborne fornication about any other considerations, whatever virtue signalling publicity may ensue. It is all about the bottom line.
