It’s also interesting that two groups of non-believers (the sailors and the people of Nineveh) responded immediately and positively to God’s message, while the prophet had to be dragged along kicking and screaming, clinging to his narrow, self-focused views to the bitter end. If you’re a Christian and don’t see the parallel between that and the church today, we need to talk.
