Oh good grief...

Clouzot at his peak was virtually impossible to beat at his own game. Another classic of his (Diabolique) was also remade by Jeremiah Chechik (of Christmas Vacation fame) with a far inferior outcome.

Oh good grief... The original is one of my all-time favourites (I even prefer it to Psycho) whereas the remake is truly horrendous.
