One book I didn't read this year was The Art of Dealing with The Art of the Deal, by Smillew Rahcuef. I understand this is a definitive guide to climbing the greasy corporate pole, sleazing and schmoozing your way into middle management, and containing an important linguistic guide of vacuous terminology to deploy ("blue sky thinking", "low hanging fruit" etc). There are also (I hear) myriad techniques for oppressing underlings with unreasonable demands and guilt-tripping them into feeling as though they are letting the "team" down by working their allotted hours and going home on time.
