Clarence’s mighty sax playing was not confined to the E Street Band and his own solo work, however. During his career he played with everyone from the Grateful Dead to Lady Gaga (on “The Edge of Glory,” in his final recorded performance before his death) to this 1985 hit by the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.
