One of the most brutal and horrid in the extreme. Not sure about the most brutal (I'm guessing you've not see A Serbian Film - which I emphatically don't recommend, by the way). At least the scene in Irreversible occurs in master shot and doesn't titilate in any way (unlike the rape scene in, say, Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs).
